The process of starting a business
Background: born in the late 1960s in rural Shaoyang, Hunan province, young father, family poverty, family of four brothers and sisters. In order to share the burden of the family, he gave up high school grades, 17-year-old south to work.
Workaholics ：The 1980s started his career as a workshop assistant in a taiwanese-owned screw factory. He studied hard and took the initiative to assist in production. He received two pay raises within a year. At the age of 18, he was appointed to solve the production line crisis and promoted to the youngest technician.
Technological breakthroughs ： five years of innovative production processes, reduce mold waste, to overcome complex screw design problems, but because the factory focused on standardized products can not meet the custom needs, determined to seek new challenges.

The Story Of The Founder
At the end of his 1960s, Mr He was born in a rural village in Shaoyang, Hunan Province, China, and encountered difficulties early on. His father died of illness in childhood, and with four siblings, he gave up his education to support his family after graduating from high school, despite his excellent grades. At 17, Mr. He moved to southern China to work, taking on the burden of supporting his siblings’ education and easing the burden on his 38-year-old mother.
Mr Ho’s first job as a shop assistant in a taiwanese-owned screw factory was a rare opportunity in the early 1980s. With no formal training, he diligently cleaned workshops, maintained machines, and helped where he needed to — always eager to learn. He learned from experienced technicians, studied screw inspection technology and helped prepare materials, and won the trust of his peers. His efforts paid off: within a year, his boss tripled his salary, an unusual honor for a young worker.
One night, when a technician fell ill during a critical production run, Mr. He stepped out to adjust the machine himself. Despite having no formal experience, he managed to adjust the equipment and save the production line. The moment marked a turning point when, at 18, he became the factory’s youngest technician. Over the next five years, Mr. He innovated the production process, reduced mold waste, and solved complex screw designs that deformed 3-4 times more than normal, winning praise from customers. However, the factory’s focus on standard screws left many customization needs unmet, prompting Mr. He to seek new challenges.
He joined a state-owned aerospace fastener company, where he learned that the accuracy and reliability of screws was critical because a single material error could lead to a catastrophic failure. After 15 years in the business, Mr. He sees a gap: many screw factories are struggling with custom, nonstandard screws, customer requirements are often not met due to poor communication, mold delays, or unreliable quality. Frustrated by these inefficiencies, such as customers receiving substandard grade 12.9 screws made of inferior materials that broke down, Mr. Ho founded Stone in 2009.
